Kydex sheath 2mm Kydex, heat-formed to your blade, with an ambidextrous leather belt loop for scout or vertical carry.

A compact, full-tang working knife built around a steep sabre grind and a 20 degree edge. Ships with a heat-formed ambidextrous Kydex sheath, ready for scout or vertical carry.

The Scout came out of the Waterberg, a knife sized to live on a belt through long days in hard country, and tough enough for anti-poaching units and outdoorsmen who don't get second chances. Today it's made in the Shenandoah Valley, unchanged in intent and better than ever in execution.

Steel

AEB-L is regarded as the 52100 of the stainless world, with the added benefit of corrosion resistance. Chosen specifically for a heavy-use working knife. Run at 61 HRC.

CPM MagnaCut is a super steel with superior edge retention and remarkable corrosion resistance. Run at 63 HRC for owners who push a blade hard between sharpenings.

Heat treatment

Plate quenched, cryogenically treated in liquid nitrogen, then double tempered. That is the difference between a knife that holds and one that chips.

Handle

G10, a fibreglass reinforced resin, rock-sculpted for texture, fastened with T20 torx head screws and fitted with a 1mm shadow line for added grip.

Finish

Mill-spec blanks, hand ground on the knife grinder, then stonewashed so honest wear disappears into the finish.

Sheath

Military grade 2mm Kydex with 8–8 eyelets, a retention jacking bolt and an ambidextrous bovine hide belt loop for scout or vertical carry.

The Ritual

Maintenance

Carry it well.
Care for it properly.

Wipe the blade with a dry cloth after each use. For stubborn residue, warm water and a non-abrasive cloth. Avoid dishwashers and harsh detergents.

Always dry thoroughly before storing or sheathing. AEB-L and MagnaCut are highly stain-resistant, but no steel likes trapped moisture.

Store dry, sheathed and out of reach of children. For long-term storage, a thin film of mineral oil adds an extra layer of protection.

Maintain the 20 degree edge. A fine ceramic rod or strop handles routine touch-ups. Send it back to us if it ever needs a full re-grind.

Rinse the Kydex with warm water if it picks up grit, and adjust the jacking bolt to set your retention. Air-dry fully before re-inserting the blade.

Ownership

The owner's
code.

A Lionhearted blade is a serious tool. Ownership should feel just as considered as the craft behind it.

  1. 01

    Know your laws

Review knife-carry laws where you live and travel before you carry.

  2. 02

    Store it safely

Sheathed, dry, out of reach. A tool, not a toy.

  3. 03

    Carry with intent

A blade comes out for a reason and goes back the same way.

  4. 04

    Respect the tool

Built as a tool. Carried, used and respected as one.

First fixed-blade I haven't outgrown. The grind holds an edge through whitetail season without a touch-up.
