Hot steel on the anvil

The Craft

Not made to look tough.
Made to hold up.

The Process

From raw steel
to finished blade.

  1. 01

    Steel Selection

AEB-L, the 52100 of the stainless world, and CPM MagnaCut, a super steel with superior edge retention.

  2. 02

    Profile Cutting

Mill-spec blanks profiled and rough-ground before a hand ever touches the grinder.

  3. 03

    Heat Treatment

Plate quenched, cryogenically treated in liquid nitrogen, then double tempered. AEB-L 61 HRC · MagnaCut 63 HRC.

  4. 04

    Grinding

Steep sabre grind set by hand on the knife grinder, 20 degree cutting edge.

  5. 05

    Handle Fitting

G10 scales fastened with T20 torx head screws and fitted with a 1mm shadow line.

  6. 06

    Finishing

Stonewash blade finish, applied so honest wear disappears into the steel.

  7. 07

    Inspection

Geometry, edge, blade finish and handle fitment inspected before the maker's mark is engraved.

  8. 08

    Packaging

Kydex sheath heat-formed, belt loop set, care card packed and the blade shipped.

The Standard

Refined until
nothing's left to remove.

Every Lionhearted blade is the result of weeks at the bench: heat treat measured, edges set under loupe, every rivet press-fit by hand.
